DD has had a few of these listed recently. Why are they grey or at best a pale yellow? Is this a result of being CB? The CB Yasha Gobies also seem to be dull in color.
 
Females are dullish grey. They are probably younger specimens as well.

Captive breds aren't culled as harshly as mother nature, so more deformities are likely.

In most cases, yes. Given time, varied diet, and proper social situations, it should color up.
 
Sounds good. Any idea if DD keeps their captive bred fish in a separate system from the main population? Is there a lower incidence of disease with CB?
