I had a small yellow tang that has been in my tank for 4 months. It was roughly an inch long. He was doing fine this morning, then I fed the tang with some thawed frozed food and i checked back about 30 minutes later and he was on the bottom of the tank breathing heavily.
Waterbox 3'x2' frag tank. Bare bottom
PO4 - .04
PO3 - 10
ph - 8.2 monitored by apex
temp between 77-78
Ammonia - 0
I did a 5 gallon waterchange last night that was temp & salinity matched
I have a mandarin a mystery wrasse (in the sump for about a month now for bad behavior towards the clowns)
Hes never had issues with aggression or anything.
Kinda stumped here, any suggestions.
I've read that they can eat something too big and die? Maybe got caught on my NERO 5 which absolutely pounds flow in the acro part of the system he was in.
