I'm not an expert on this, but it did happen to me once many years ago. Based on your photo and what I experienced, Id say yes...

Dont know much about caulerpa but I would personally get rid of it because it can go sexual and mess up your tank so I would just pick up some chaeto instead and also chaeto grows like crazy

Mine did that years back. Don’t remember what it looked like but I do remember that the aquarium was very milky as a result
