Carbon and HLLE

I noticed my baby yellow tang have white lines around his eyes, i use redsea carbon in a brs deluxe reactor. I have mixed reef, and a big toadstool. Should i stop using carbon 24/7 on a reactor? But then i dont know how to combat toadstool nuking the tank.

My yellow has been in GAC for 5 years now and has no HLLE. My blue either. Just lucky maybe.

I’d personally switch to ROX 0.8 carbon and make sure it is not getting broken up in the reactor.
