I decided to try new method on a new tank and I believe i severely overdosed carbon source .

Any recommendations how to reduce carbon source in the tank?

I did large water change and set skimmer on more wet skimmate .

What size tank do you have?

Whats your carbon source and amount dosed?

WC amount?

I dont know a whole lot about effects of too much carbon dosing, but large WCs are the way to go to remove unwanted materials. As long as everything else is aligned with the NSW that is. My $0.02

Tank is Reefer 850 , total water value around 200G
I dosed Nitribiotic ( bak) , ReefActive , NPPlus all this Tropic Marin product that contains carbon source.
I get this brown/ tan algea on the rock , pumps and tank panels .
Nitrates and phosphates are 0
Start it dosing small amount of Nitrates .
