Carnation coral feeding idea

So I am in no way advocating injuring animals! I cannot feed this carnation coral enough to sustain it by broadcast feeding and target feeding. It is shrinking. I do not know much about the biology of this coral but was thinking of injecting it with a very small amount of phyto. Will this cause infection? I don't want to stick the needle in too far, just a little at the base. Thoughts?

several good references too. Flood it with food. add bugs,carbon dose , marine snow(vitaminc(carbon) aminos ) . skim like heck.
