Carving dry rock with dremel

Is there any issues with carving dry rock with a dremel(tungsten carbide metal bits). I'm a tattoo artist and am starting my first reef tank. I'm not able to get it going for a few weeks(wife wants the walls painted and floors done first) and was thinking about trying to do some sculpture type stuff with dry rock in the mean time. I was wondering if anyone else had done this and the pros and cons of it.

Dremel should be fine. Be sure to rinse rock well if dust and particulates and consider coral putty or cement for assembly

I carve and cut LR all the time with this bad boy with a diamond tipped steel cutting disc.

Zero issues...

the fine particles will be your first supliments iron and diamond and such..

you should be fine rinse, and repeat great thing about dry rock you can clean it good you have time to play with it

I got a few pieces to mess with but one ended up being to nice to carve up. Drawing a blank on to even sculpt now that I have a piece of rock. Smdh

Well this is what I came up with for the first piece.

I drilled some holes in dry rock for frag plugs. It worked well but I could have rinsed more. The tank was cloudy for about a day but all was well in the end.
