I just received some snails from reefcleaners.org and am very happy with what I received.

I noticed that one of the Cerith snails has several bumps on the side of the shell that open and have little feelers(?) coming out. Is this normal?

They look like small barnacles to me. Shouldn't bother anything.

Thanks. Just looked odd. This is my first SW tank and I just want to make sure they aren't harmful. I just pulled out a bristle worm last night that was trying to eat a snail. I know people have mixed opinions on if bristle worms are good or bad.

Yea they are barnacles which are filter feeders. They will most likely end up starving in a reef and die...

Wow, this hoobby is so interesting and strange to me. I'm like a kid in a candy store every time I look at my tank. I find something new all the time and I only have live rock, sand, snails and water so far. :-)
