Yeah the grey one is constantly carrying around the smaller red one which looks slightly different. Also, would it be ok in my Qt For a days with no heater in it? Still don't have a proper QT tank fully set up

Until anyone can figure it out it will forever be called the blob lol. It's strange that it's kinda curvy and see through under the light and has two darker spots on it

aptasia is my guess . and yeah get rid of it, no need to wait to see if it opens up.

I had one in my cheato when I started and thought it was way cool. Now I nuke 3 - 4 from my DT a couple of times a year.

Ohhh. Last side note lol. The blob is gone but now just found this tiny thing that k thought was a blob but is actually a shell. Almost like a tiny clam but oyster shaped. I assume this is good right?

[QUOTE

I believe the “blob” was a type of tunicate. Second picture in your first post. Not bad to have in your tank. They are filter feeders, draw water in one hole and exhale thru the other much like a Clam siphon works. I have dozen of yellowish variety in my tank and they are quite interesting. They are also known as sea squirts, which my wife finds adorable. She’s always excited when she finds a new one pop up somewhere in the tank.

Oh now that I looked it up thank to you, it was definitely a tunicate. Unfortunately j got rid of it last night :( wish I had kept it. If I find another one I might. But other than that one, and the single pod with whatever he's carrying the rest of what I got is pretty much all feather dusters. I'll give the chaeto a little longer and then into me refugium it goes. This is turning out to be a fun hobby with tons to learn every day. Hope I dont mess it up along the way
