No refugium so placed near intake of canister filter, less than a week later and it’s growing… something ? It to me doesn’t look like chaeto but I have also never had any to know what new growth looks like.
What could it be ?

Hi there! It looks like it has caught detritus and essentially became a sponge filter on your canister intake. :)

It was kinda the plan since we don’t have a refugium and only using a canister, figured it’ll filter decent enough. So basically it’s doing it’s job but not actually chaeto growth but it is acting a bit of a pre-filter ?
