The issue is, it does not grow in the Display... it seems that the chaeto ball starts trapping detritus (I clean it every week on a 10liter bucket of water and it gets almost as dark as skimmate) and than the GHA thrives on that and smothers the Charto until it drives to the surface, Browns out which in turn fuels even more GHA.
I hate having GHA in the fuge because from past experience at some point I have the whole water column in the display filled with tiny flagela (not sure if this is the correct term)...
So I would really like to hear from those that manage to maintain a GHA free chaeto based refugium...
