It's not dead, it's just missing. I think a larger asterina star got on the plug and wedged under the glue and just popped it off. Problem is the frag is on a chunk the exact same size/color as some gravel on my sand. I need to go sifting through it when I get home today. Just not easy in a 31" tall tank :(

That's terrible, hope you find it as i have had that happen before too and its never fun!

Is the skeleton still there? Or the whole thing gone? If the whole thing is gone it might have fell off if the glue holding it quite.....It looks like the skeleton is missing as well.
