Hi Guys
im upgrading my tank from 40 to 75 gallon next week.
not super happy with my aquascape and rocks i have now and was thinking to start replacing my rocks with dry rocks slowly. i got around 70lps rocks in different colors and shapes and mostly very bulky that's not close to my dream tank. CaribSea LifeRock Shapes that come in the slimmer shape and i think that great to make better arches and get perfect water flow in the tank.
nowhere is the question:
whats the best way to replace these rocks to a new tank slowly?
i was thinking start with 20 lbs of new dry rock mix with around 40 lbs of my current live rocks for now and do another 20 lbs in couple months and finally another 20 lbs after 2 another month
also i can sell my live rocks on craigslist and get money for new rocks.
i attach a pic of my ideal aquascape for your reference.
I appreciate if help me to get this project done.

are you putting the new tank where your current tank sits?
did you purchase the new rock yet?
do you have a sump?
are you a DIY?
if the answers are No, No, Yes and Yes then have a look on my build thread.
you can create the scape exactly as you see it in your mind without worrying about rock sizes and shapes
and getting them together.
