Changing recirculating pumps...

Ok....we have a jbj rimless 30 gallon. We want to get rid of the two pumps in the back and go to just one. Each pump is 264 gph...do we need to get one recirculating pump that does 528 gallons and hour or just one that does 264 gallons?
