Changing salt type

Good afternoon reefers !!!!
I’m am changing salt that I use I was wondering if anyone has a certain way to change it to make sure everything stays happy. Thank you for any advice !

I've always just worked it in through regular water changes and monitor my levels. Eventually, it will all be the new mixture and allows for everything to get used to the switch more slowly than just a quick change over.

Agree, I also just do normal water changes using the new salt.

Purchased Red Sea black lid salt

Was told I should start dosing for stability using red sea 4 part was going to purchase a programmable 4 doser

I think it’s a good idea if your corals consume more than your putting in.

Black lid runs elevated Alk, MG and CA so you might want to change it real slow if you other salt was lower in Alk.
