What are the best leds that I can get for around $300 for my 90 gallon. I was looking at marineland reef capable leds, but a 10k output is not for me. Iam looking for something that outputs 14k, maybe 20k.

that units fine as long as you are lighting fish.

No, I have about 50 percent sps, 25 percent lps, and 25 percent softies. I want an ouput equal to or greater than my 2 175 watt mh pendents.

Yea, your price expectations are wayyy too low. the phrase, you get what you pay for REALLY comes into play with LEDs. And why cheap out so hard when you are buying something to last you for the next 11 years.

if you go DIY you can do two 24LED kits but you would get much better results with two 36LED kits and save a ton of money that way.

btw, if you go DIY, do 2 blues to one white to get that nice phoenix gold 14k look.

I have had an excellent experience with the Evolution LEDs, I've had them since October and no complaints. My coral stocking is similar to yours.

For DIY, I'd say to go aliexpress and pick up some 3w brideglux LEDs, drivers, dimmers (potentiometer), and some optics. You'll get close to your price range and every bit as good as the CREEs IMO.

I have run Bridgelux before and enjoyed the transition to Crees and now run them over my tank.

I looked at reefkoi 120 watt, looks perfect to me. I could do $350 no problem. Any news on when they are in stock?

I have 1 of Lukes fixtures over a 90g 36x24x24 sps only tank (well some fishies) and I am getting much better color & growth over my old 250w MH fixture especially in the lower levels which I couldn't do with the MH fixture

I cant spend $650 though. I will have to find something else. Diy looks like a PIRA, Im not going to drill 200 holes in a piece of alluminum.

2 120w evolutions should be fine on a 90. i run 2 on my 75 and 3 on my 180

U don't need to drill holes lol.... epoxy ftw! Look in led section and look for my build. DIY led is the easiest thing to do.

I'm trying to find LEDs for my 90gal also. I have just been doing research non stop for about two days now. From what I can tell DIY is the only way you can stay in budget on this. Money is a big factor on my upgrade so we are in the same boat. I just found out about Luke's fixture and it seems to be the best value on the market as far as LEDs go unless you go with DIY.

I have evolutions and I like them but if I could do it over again I would DIY or get something that can be dimmed.

I have 3 of the evolutions on my custom tank and love them. The colors and growth have been amazing!!! I have been taking pics every month to show the growth. Very very good results from these fixtures and support them.
