@Waterbox Aquariums Looking into a waterbox LX (the 190.4 specifically) for an upcoming build but concerned about the included check valve

I don’t trust check valves period as I have personally seen too many fail, and I was wondering if for some reason that failed would the sump overflow?

Just wondering if the check valve is meant to reduce amount of water drainage for convenience or if it is a critical feature that prevents sump overflow — if that is the case I know I won’t be able to trust it.

it’s to prevent back-siphon…
but you can point your returns high to counter this

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
