Hello all,

I am about to receive a Chelmon muelleri. My long last passion that finally came true.

As I know these are finicky fish any tips to make sure he eats properly?

I don't have access in Portugal to black worms but I am ready with Masstick, Clams, Mussels and Mysis to add that to a rock in my frag tank to see if he eats properly.

This is the specimen I got! it will arrive Thursday hopefully.

Ohhh man ... I am so sad ...

The fish arrived today and has a broken snout due to transport!

He is big and fat but not sure if he will start eating in that condition. I will keep you posted!

Anything you think I can do?

To prevent further infection, treat with an antibacterial.

The damage isn't too bad, but it may have trouble breaking off larger pieces of food. Try rae oysters from the grocery store. Also, Piscine mysis, if that is available.

Agree.

Very small foods like what you might feed corals might help with mouth damage like that.
