Well, I just got word that I have a new NC 6 coming to me this weekend :wav:

Of course I have a bazillion ideas but I cannot do them all. I think you guys should help me decide what to do. CZ involvement will give me the initiative to start my own tank thread :) As far as coral I'm pretty well set with zoas and star polyps and a few mushrooms + a feather duster of some sort; it's the fish/inverts that are giving me trouble. So, here are my ideas:

1. pair of neon gobies
2. pistol shrimp and goby combo
3. jawfish
4. mantis
5. a few tiny gobies of different species

Vote and help me decide :)

I would say either pistol shrimp and goby combo (which is what I voted for) or the different species of gobies. The shrimp/goby combo's are just sweet to watch though!

don't do jawfish.... a nano is not a good home for jawfish.

They need 4"+ of sand, and if you have a DSB in a nano you are asking for problems.

Tank's got sand and live rock in it right now, working on filling it up with water as we speak :)

I still haven't really decided yet, but I'm thinking either a goby/pistol pair or a mantis (finding one is the problem). Everything, including the water, came from an established system, so I should be able to add them fairly quickly.

The goby pistol pair are not yet in my tank. I've got to go to my LFS and buy a pair if they've got them in.

Ok, so now that I've decided to get a goby pistol pair, what kind of goby should I get?

You could do (my first choices):

Yellow Watchman
Pink Bar
Hi fin red banded
or a Randall's

I have a Yellow Watchman in my 33g with a pistol and they are great! I love all the four that i listed.
