No cycle for me - I bought an established system

Got equipment and livestock for less than it would have cost me to collect equipment, and someone else had already made any mistakes on their dime.

I built everything from scratch the first time and spent more money on equipment I ended up replacing than I did on equipment I kept.

I don't know I've heard them quote customers on the show that full time care of the tanks cost $1 a gallon a month so most of the time the customer should know what he or she is getting into.

One of the local LFS that supplied the fish and water uses the "as seen on tanked" all over and I giggle I don't buy much from there at all I have been burnt by them too same type of attitude. they cater to the unaware and deep pockets

those are the kind of people who are ruining this hobby for the rest of us. I been doing this since 1998. I never buy unless I know and research

They set up a nice tank never let it cycle and stocked it. never set up the owner with a way to save the fish or anything in the tank. thousands of dollars of fish died including a purple rino. its sad its all about ratings and who cares about the hobby. The show blamed the owner and the owner blamed the show now the tank is just sad

Here's a good article to read about them, i also vaguely remember reading about a guy who bought a tank from them, and shortly after the seams split and they wouldnt cover any of the repairs.
