I am curious what you guys think about housing both of these guys in the same tank. The lieutenant tang is already in the tank and is about 3 to 3 1/2 inches long. The chevron would be around 4 or 4 1/2 inches. Do you think they would get along fine.

Chevron are usually very docile for a tang. If your lieutenant is aggressive that could be a recipe for disaster. For best results I would add several tangs at a time...

My lieutenant has been a model citizen so far but i have never had another tang in the tank with him. Im thinking that because the chevron is bigger that it might help with any aggression that would arise.

Im guessing this is a 300 gallon? I couldn't see it being a problem after the initial introduction provided there are plenty of hiding spots.

You may well be fine. It could also go very, very wrong. 1 to 2 tangs is the most dangerous, IMO.

They would be going in a 125 for about 4 or 5 months then transfered into the 240 gallon that i am setting up right now.

There is a better chance that it will work than it won't. Using a social acclimation box can help get most of the aggression dealt with without the chevron facing any injury.
