chiller calibration

Hello fellow r2r members ..my Q is do chillers need to be calibrated ? currently running a jbj 1/10 chiller , my temp on it saying 78-79 while my apex is telling me 75-76 any info is greatly appreciated
 
depend which temperature you trust. either your apex or JBJ.
I have 1/3 JBJ chiller 78F My other thermometer stated 80F
 
im kind of leaning towards the chiller but still just want to make it 100% sure ......anyone else care to chime in ........
 
Got the same problem chiller is set to 77 but says 80 all the time when stops putting water in thetank . But thermometer says 76-77 max 78 sometimes lol . We have a aquaeuroUSA deff gonna shoot you over a call later izz
