Chiller Problem

I own a Teco TR-10 on a 260l reef. It is set for 26 celsius. The problem is that, sometimes, it turns on at 27 but does not brings the temperature down to 26 and turns the compressor off before. The fan keeps on and the temperatures rises a lot (until I come and turn the chiller off and back on again). Do you think it is not well placed?
