I just picked up a JBJ 250 Chiller and installed it last night. I am going to run it this evening and see how well it cools my tank. I have it connected to an EB4 on output 3 for higher amps. My question is should I let my Apex cycle the chiller on and off or should I let the chiller do that itself.

Thank you!

Being in the hvacr industry and design and repair of chillers for some Reef shops. I would let your chiller control the compressor. Put the differential if it lets you program it 1 degrees. So if you set it for 74 degrees and it raises to 75 it will come on. If you have any issues then put it at two degrees and no more. On mine we hand builders and it has no control so we use a separate controller and that controller lets us adjust a differential from 1 degrees or more. Still plug it into your Apex and of course any service in the future you need done to chiller you can turn it off from the Apex
