Hi all, I just joined the forum and I’m happy to be here.

I am new to the hobby and currently about halfway through cycling my first tank. It’s a 38 gallon Fiji Cube AIO (peninsula) with a good amount of dry Marco rock and Caribsea Ocean Direct sand.

I was hoping y’all could help me decide on which species of wrasse I add to my stocklist for this tank. I specifically want a wrasse that it bright and colorful but most of all, I’d like one that provides utility in the form of pest control but doesn’t go after invertebrates.

I will be adding a cleanup crew as well as some cleaner shrimp, fire shrimp, and hopefully a Pom Pom crab.
I was hoping to be able to add a melanurus or yellow/purple wrasse but I’ve heard that they are active invertebrate hunters.

Any advice and personal experience with this topic would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a picture of my tank setup so you can see the rock work I have in there.

I'm a big fan of the 'yellow coris wrasse', h.chrysus

Bright and colourful, active, peaceful, always out in the open, hasn't gone after my cuc and takes care of worms
