@Westside Guy Although I've never been to Florida, I would think that would be enough watts for a heater. Here in Montana unless you have a wood stove you're screwed when the power goes out in the winter. It takes a better part of the day to get the temp back up in a tank when the power comes back on after a power out.

Ok guys so it's been a while since I have updated this so I'll go through what's new with the tank. I've had an invasion of Aiptasia in the system and despite having 2 peppermint shrimps in the tank the numbers continued to increase. I have started using Aiptasia X and will continue using this daily until I have them under control. I'm slowly letting my Alk drop to around 8 as this is what I am wanting to run my system at going forward using red sea blue bucket salt. Live stock wise Ive added a couple of new fish and a couple of frags, a purple fire fish and a royal gramma both of which have settled in well. I picked up a dragon soul favia frag and a war coral favia as well as a limeberry hystrix. I'm going to be looking to add some rarer LPS pieces in the next few weeks/months as well as increasing the SPS population. Anyway I have a few pics nothing too exciting but pics nonetheless!!

@Chris'sReef How's the battle with the Aiptasia coming along?
Hi, seems to be spreading I've added some berghia nudibranch and also added a filefish to try and control the numbers. I actually had to move the tank a few weeks ago which although was stressfull very smoothly it's all in my new place so finally I can really crack on with it. I'll do a proper update tomorrow to bring the thread up to date.

Ok so like I say the tank has been quietly ticking over since the move and I was noting adding much beforehand as I knew I would be moving and didn't want to complicate things further!! I have added a few frags namely a nice burning ember goniopora a forest fire frag and a nice hystrix which I'm trying to colour up. My aiptaisia infestation is getting under control thanks to a homemade high strength form of aip x I made from a recipe off another forum it's worked a treat. My aim now is to get a dosing system on the tank and really start adding more corals. Here are a couple of pics ot the tank at present.

Chris.
