Christmas Favia

A little over a year ago, I bought a system full of corals to add to my main display (220 gallon, 2 years old now)... The system I bought was a mere 65 gallon, but it came with nice mature hammer and fox colonies, amongst some other smaller colonies, including a 6" Christmas Favia.

At the time, the Favia looked like it does in a generic image search. However, now, over a year later, and having a reasonably mature system with the nutrients better dialed in; it looks great!

However, I am not sure where to put it. It is free standing on my sandbed now and the colour looks more brilliant than ever. So, since it appears to be doing quite well, I put forth a few questions about these neat looking corals:

Do these corals like higher light? i.e. should I try to acclimate it up 6-10" in the tank. the top 16" of the tank is SPS dominated, which any of my other LPS strongly dislike...

How do they grow, do they crawl/encrust like a monti, or grow out like an acan, perhaps something different?

Should I lean it against a rock?

I am sure answers to these few questions will lead to more questions... So thanks!

@NanaReefer has one of the nicest colonies I have seen, she appears to have a green thumb for them.

If it looks good and is growing where it's at and you like it there than leave it be. They do not need a ton of lighting, they produce new skeletal structure for growth (like an Acan) but new growth can look like the coral is spreading out, it's not encrusting. They do appreciate feedings.
