Ok, so i have a talbot damsel and because i only bought two at the time of getting them, one passed away due to tank complications around 8-9 months ago, this talbot has, over the past 2 weeks or so, become very very large. The only other fish in there that i could remotely see it breeding with is one of the cromis. Its made a little cove/cave and has begun building what looks like a nest but its so farfetched sounding to me, but thanks for reading and let me know!

That looks more like dropsy than eggs.
Are the scales flush with the body or does it look more like a pinecone?

BTW, pictures taken under actinic lights are not very helpful. Either turn on whites or use a yellow filter.
