I have had 2 sol blues over my frag tank that are dying ( bought new in 2012) and are being replaced with 2 hydra 26hd. I'll be curious to see how these preform over the much older sol models. The sol is as large as a 52 but has less leds than a 26.

My display is very happy with metal halide.

I tried the Hamilton 14k bulb for about 10 days and decided they were to "white" to run unsupported by t-5. I am now stockpiling radium bulbs.

Good to hear you like the MH setup. As for the Hyrda 26, I think you like them as I run (3) hydra 52+ over my display.

I've been updating post #32 because I like to see the progression right next to each other. Is this a good idea or should I spread them out? It probably doesn't matter.

Looks like I forgot February and I'm due for march.

We have been getting hammered with nor'easters here in Rhode Island these past 2 weeks.

I have a small 2k generator that will absoutely keep the tank alive, the fridge, some lights, and a tv, BUT it won't run my home heat. I'm thinking about buying an 8k. That much power would run my entire home. The thing is, I never lose power. In the 11 years we've lived here it went out once for about 10 hrs and only a few small couple hr outages that I wouldn't bother with a genny for. I'm torn.

As usual 3 big storms and no power interuption.

When the hurricanes get up here it's usually warmer and I'd survive with the smaller generator. It's these winter storms that give me pause

No it survived.
I got divorced last May and moved to California. The tank was taken down then.
I'm in the process of a new tank now that I've settled in here. It's small. 40b.

I am now done with my " life reset". The California Central Coast ( Pismo Beach Area) has treated me well.

When I left Rhode Island, I sold all but a few key pieces of equipment. Keepers that made the trek include
2x mp 40s
2x hydra 26hd
All my apex modules.

I used this for a bit in a 40b build that kind of hung on for a year then I got remarried got a house then started a 120. After about a year and a half, I decided to go big. Here is the continuation of my journey.
