I have a 40g breeder tank. At the moment I have two suction cup circulation pumps where is a good place to place then on the back of the tank pointing forward or on the sides to maximize flow?

I'd place them on the sides opposing each other; toward the top and front of the tank.

On each sode of the tank pointing at each other, that will kind of create some randomness when the flows hit each other.
