3 week old 10g. Just found this little guy today. I thought it was just a small rock from a distance until I really looked closer. What is it? Keep in tank?

Also, do I need to acclimate it if I put in my 29g?

Really!? I have an 8 month old 29g upstairs. Should I toss him in there?
Yes. Excellent.
Good luck too. He may be worse for wear form the new tank stuff
But fingers crossed.

And yea I would acclimate. Just a cup 30 40 min and just over double the water volume.

And we're off! I hope he's okay. He just ventured out of the rock recently. I hadn't seen him until today.

Think anybody in my tank will hurt it/eat it? Clowns, diamond goby, emerald crabs, hermits, snails, and a firefish.

Posibly the crabs. But don't sweat it. We can only do what we can do. And as you noticed it swims well.

Where should I place him? Just in the sand bed somewhere?
Yea pretty much try to stay away from what you may know as a crab zone. Perfhqps a nook in a rock.
The scallop will swim if it's still healthy.

I dropped him in the back corner near my firefish as nobody seems to mess with his area :) I'll see if he has moved in the morning. Haven't seen him swim yet in the small tank either, just noticed him in the sand.

I had a bunch of these hitchhike from one vendor at a fresh swap. They have never moved from the day they came home. 2 were I a zoa colony. The colony died off I couldn't even remove them from the rock. They were so anchored I didn't bother cutting then off

dang you autocorrect *frag swap
