I am just getting into salt water and was told to purchase ecotech MP40s as they can connect to the Mobius app along with my xr30s.

I purchased 2 MP40s both of which were advertised as Mobius capable, however they do not show up in the Mobius app?

I have hard reset them following the mode/set button sequence, and still nothing.

Now the seller is asking if I have a Neptune mxm module, which until then I hadn’t even heard of. Looking into it I’m also seeing a reeflink device.

When I try to look up anything about connecting them to Mobius is just shows that they should connect directly in the Mobius app (my ai orbit did this no problem.) but I cannot for the life of me find a clear guide to what I need, what is missing, how I can tell what’s missing, or anything beyond the newest model.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Open one of the control units up and see what color the RF module is. Some earlier MP40s are capable but require the RF module to be replaced. I had to upgrade a couple of mine when I was trying to get everything on mobius.
Here's a Link to an article explaining it.

PS The updated module it getting difficult to source it seems and people are using that to price gouge. I don't remember exactly how much i paid when I bought mine a few years ago but they were less than $30 each
