Quick thing I forgot to mention my tank still has some old T5(T something) and do you think the coral will be okay while I wait for a light upgrade? I think i might outfit it with led.

Will this be a problem?

Forget that I was getting ahead of myself I wont be getting coral for a while. I think this weekend I will get clowns and after that I will get coral.

Might as well wait until you get a proper reef light for corals. Won’t hurt anything.

Definitely a bucket list fish for me too. Unfortunately, they are near impossible to keep alive.

Typically, it’s best to wait 6-12 months for nems and until you have a good handle on corals.
As for hosting, I’m sure a maroon would, but I’d be far more worried about a maroon in that size tank. They get big and nasty.

No Clowns Nothing interesting till NOW :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: The snails are very slow and cannot keep up with algae.

still nothing interesting but i have come to realize the hermit crabs have killed most of my snails. I got tired of the algae and then instead of the algae dying, the snails and hermits went to sleep and stopped cleaning so I just turned the light back on for 8 hours a day

It's here it's here! I got a ClownFish!!! Wyoming White! I also got my first coral a Zoa I will be having a reef light coming aswell! I'll post the coral as soon as it opens up!

New light showed up today very proud of my one little coral. My light is a NICREW HyperReef 100
