I have had a cleaner wrasse for about a year. It is quite fat and eats well. In the last week or so, it has started to attack my nassarius snails when they come out to pick the little bits of food at the bottom. It just picks at their base and does not seem to do any real damage, but I find it odd. My two canary-tops leave everything alone.

Any ideas?

Sounds like its either trying to eat them or clean them! Cleaner wrasse are strange. I had one for a little that liked to hang out in my eel’s mouth all day.

Bump. I just got a fresh batch and he is still attacking them - he loves to go after their antennae.
