I have had my three Mitras LX7 working for almost three years now. The fans are noisier than they used to be and I guess they have accumulates a lot of dust. Wondering about the best procedure to clean them out, would external cleaning with a brush or even vacuum be enough or would it better to open the fixtures and unscrew the fans for a more thorough cleaning?

I would think better to open them up.

Need to open mine up to clean the cover over the LEDs, looks like a couple of bugs got in there.

To clean Ecotech Radions properly I need to open them up, same with my computer. What I’m getting at is that to do it right, you need to open them up.

Thanks for all your help

I am reluctant to open the fixtures as I have to dismount the whole fixture system. In this regard the electric duster looks like a fine option. Expensive, but nice.

Not as expensive as those lights.
