Hey everyone,

I pulled out the pump head from my overflow and noticed it's absolutely covered with all kinds of unidentified critters, hitchhikers, and growths.
I know that at least some of them appear to be Aiptasia, so I was thinking about giving the whole thing a thorough cleaning.

Before I do that, I'm curious if anyone recognizes anything beneficial in the attached video. Are there any organisms here that would be worth saving, or does it mostly look like pests and typical overflow growth?

Would you just clean/scrub it completely, or is there anything that should be left alone?

Thanks!

Hard to tell in the actinic lighting, can you get some pics with just your white channels turned on or just your room lighting?

I would just clean it good, they'll be back again... 🙂

Are you able to get photos under white lights?

Sponges and Tube/Feather Duster worms, pretty normal stuff. Most of it is neutral in nature, they're filter feeders so they clean the water a bit but they can inhibit flow and your equipment from working at peak efficiency.
