Cleaning skimmer cup suggestions

Momma was extremely POed when she saw me using it lol. I bought her a new one.
I just bought one myself but the Mrs. Is still looking for her turkey baster! 😂

I don't have a garden hose. I live in a townhouse with no outside water access. Where does I get a brush like that?
I got mine from Amazon, they are selling more than just books nowadays. 😉

I know I could run over to the Walmart across the street and get a brush, my question is, is the brush specifically for aquariums or is it a kitchen brush?
Kitchen brush, specifically baby bottles.

I use different sized bottle brushes to clean mine out. Now that I’ve got it skimming really dry, I can go about 7-10 days between. Boy does it STINK!

A brush, a water faucet, and some paper towels for mine. Simple and easy.

Nothing like a good skimmer cup smell after a couple of days, haha

How do you clean your skimmer cup? BRS suggested using magic erase sponges. I would prefer something with a handle on it, my hands are too big to fit in the cup easily.
I use magic erasers and/or acrylic safe scrub pads

Toothbrush or electric tie a sponge to a stick of some sort. I use a old electric toothbrush works great
I bought myself a bottle cleaning kit and it has worked wonders! You can use the brush itself to clean out the big cup area, and bottom cone, while I use some of the smaller ones to be able to get into the nooks and crannies like the lid holes and other tight areas like my hoses and intake valves. For less than $20...game changer that I cant recommend enough!

Oh yeah, I know this all too well! I was using a bottle brush in the kitchen sink. Wife came in and said ... what the heck is that smell and why are you using my good scrub brush? I shrugged and silently laughed to myself. I also had to buy her a new bottle brush. Needless to say, I now have to rinse it downstairs in the slop sink.

Grab your wife's toothbrush. Just rinse it really well before putting it back. PSA, I give free relationship advice! 🤣

I thought I was bad when I got my Gal to smell the skim mate once. It wasn't as funny as when I had my ex wife hold the spark plug wire on a lawnmower. That was priceless 🤣

You'd be fun to hang out with my friend!!
