Clip being reused from copper tank?

So is it possible to use the seaweed clip from my copper tank in my DT? Or would this leach copper into my tank and harm the corals?

I will ad I cleaned it like crazy if that helps any.

I would let it soak in rodi water for a day or 2 and it should be fine after that if its not already.
