Hi,
I'm just starting to test Ca,Mg, etc and have started dosing too. Last night I dosed Ca and woke up this morning to a cloudy tank. Is that normal?

I have a 75 gallon. I used aquavitro. It calls for 5 mL (1tsp) per each 18 gallons. That means I would need about 20 mL (4tsp). That's what I added.

Another factor is that I started a zoa garden yesterday by drilling holes in my rock to play the frag plugs in. I thoroughly rinsed the rock after drilling though...

I drilled the rock outside of the tank and then thoroughly rinsed

Which Aquavitro product exactly?

I do not recommend using Aquavitro Calcification as it adds some undeterminable amount of alkalinity (from metabolism of the polygluconate) as well as calcium.

Good to know! See attached for pic of the bottle.

What do you recommend for adding Ca?

I also just tested everything:
pH 8.4
kH 9.0
Salinity 1.024
NH3 15
Mg 1410
Ca 500

The fish, corals, and nems all look great so I'll just keep watching I guess?

Idk if it is normal, but it makes for a pretty aquascape. I like the look of just a cloudy rock. Soda ash really makes it look like it is setting up on a cloud. I guess this is just norm noob behavior for beginner reefers.. idk. So I have no advice to give.
