So i randomly got an algae bloom in my tank last week, been trying everything from water changes to taking out everything & cleaning them. Seems to have gone down a bit but its frustrating as hell lol

Nah i dont. I'll look into one thoif you have a UV, you could run that...

Sorry just now seeing this. It was a bacterial bloom, white cloudy water. I would wait a couple days but idk whats wrong with me, i would get annoyed & still do a little water change knowing it wouldnt help lol. But i ended up just grabbing a UV light & it cleared up in 2 daysIs the tank cloudy or green, the thread title and your post are not clear. For a bacteria bloom (white cloudy tank) don't do water changes, water changes only prolong the bacteria bloom. It will pass on its own in about a week. If the water is green, run the skimmer and activated carbon.
Forgot to let you know i ended up grabbing a UV light & it cleared up in 2 daysif you have a UV, you could run that...
