So my tank has been setup for around 7 months. It took about a month or so to cycle. I have 3 fish in the tank. Its a FOWLR but the rock I used was not alive at the beginning. The current setup is 2 HOB filters running chemipure blue with filter floss on a 55 gallon. 2 power heads for flow. My parameters are as such:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 80(API TEST KIT)
Phosphates: unknown( need new test kit)
Calcium: 600 ( API TEST KIT)
Kh: 9 (API TEST KIT)
Ph: 8.0 (API TEST KIT)
Salinity: 1.023

Been dosing Seachem Reef trace, Reef Complete and Reef Carbonate. Stopped dosing Brightwood Calcion. Feeding every other day. When feeding I am feeding some Omega One Marine Flake, Mysis shrimp and I only feed enough for the fish to eat in about 1-2minutes. I have attached some pictures on where my tank is at today. It is meant to be a FOWLR tank.

Thats what I was thinking. I have read that some say to just let it follow its course and it will take care of itself but I have also read of using a UV light and other ways to lessen the length of the bloom. Just really looking for a concensus on options for it.

Evening,

My first go to would be bloom as well. Be sure to have good surface agitation to keep O2 up. The other thing I am thinking is possibly precipitation by looking at your numbers . I am not sure if you are there, maybe @Randy Holmes-Farley could give a opinion on it

Bacterial bloom. White looking is bacterial, green looking is algae bloom.

UV sterilizer will clear it up overnight and keep it that way.

If I was to utilize a UV sterilizer on the tank, is this something that I should place on a timer and and run so many hours a day once the bloom is gone or should it run all day long? Also, what effects would it have on the fish in the tank? Thanks for your input.

I run one 24/7 with no ill effects. My water is always crystal clear.

Tank is still looking the same. Will be checking the levels and doing a water change tomorrow after I check my levels and then I'll check the levels again after 24 hours and see how much that helps.
