Clown biting glass

Recently, my female clown has been fiercly and consistently biting the back glass. The back is black, nor is reflective, so I've ruled out it attacking its reflection. The male clown is very scared of the female and knows to keep its distance, but is still submissive. This has never happened before, not on the glass, not on the rocks, not on my finger.

Think it could be breeding? The female has been grown over an inch since I got it and is pretty fat, but the male is still the same size.

Does she hang out in the spot shes nipping at? My first thought is shes cleaning the spot where she wants to lay her eggs. The clowns in my tank will peck at the rock where my female eventually ends up laying her eggs for quite a while before she actually lays.

It's been alternating between two spots, but around the same area.
Doesn't know if this helps, but I've also isolated it a few days before. It's been getting pretty aggressive during feedings, so I put it in a breeder box. It escaped twice through the opening, and resumed biting at the glass.
I'll take the benefit of the doubt and leave it there, may just see some eggs soon. Will they even stick to the glass, though?

Oh ya, the eggs will stick to pretty much anything lol
