Had this tank for a little under 5 mths and my Clown pair laid eggs on one my rocks. Male tending to them as we speak. Pretty cool to see live. I assume it is too late to get a breeder tank ready?

You really need to do some research on clown fry rearing , you will have to buy phytoplankton or raise your own two feed the rotifers sterilt ten gallon tank blackout in the back heater air pump bubble wand and a lot of time to care for them .

All above is true. That said, she will likely continue laying eggs every three/four weeks so you can learn now and try on a later batch. The first couple batches seem to have a low birth rate also so it’s probably good to skip the first couple rounds.

It is. They are likely inexperienced but will tend to eggs which may get eaten. Now log how much time until next clutch. I ve had about 7. At the 4th - they knew what they were doing. I laid a clay flower pot for them so I can do a transfer but they go for a coral's base, pipe, the weirdest objects.
Let the parents do the work.

Here is some of my egg batches

Looks like she is laying a nice healthy batch is the male doing a good job of fertilizing them? You will know because of they will eat the uunfertilized fry.

Feeding a variety of high protein food will help the Mother clown lay better clutches of eggs . It's basically like a Mother taking prenatal vitamins to help her and her baby.
