ok so i have a few questions. I only have metro and garlic on hand not focus, can i add metro 1 scoop to some pe shrimp? I have some marine pure blocks and rock in the tank, can I still dose metro with these in there? and lastly can I do normal water changes while on metro?

I also have seachem prime and polylabs medic if that matters.

Focus binds Metro to the food. It will just leach out into the water without Focus, rendering it useless for treating intestinal worms.

Agree. And agree on diagnosis

Once the Metronidazole is bound to food with Focus, it's pretty reef-safe. I've been feeding it to some fish I've got in QT - and feeding that same food to my display, as well. (I don't try to drop it onto corals, though...)

So today my clown fish has been acting a little different. Usually both fish are together and swimming happy but today 1 clown kept to himself up on the side of the glass either looking straight up or down. This was NOT the fish with white stringy poop. I don’t know but this guy is not looking too good.

My clowns do almost the same thing in my display tank - and have done for the better part of two years.

In this case, it might help to post (through Youtube or similar) a video, as how he's swimming, carrying his fins, etc. can tell a lot. In the photos - he just looks a little bit nervous.

Just a quick update, I have not seen the stringy poop again since Monday. this whole week I have been feeding cyclops with the metro and focus with a drop of garlic.
