Hi all, need some advice on clownfish breeding. I’ve had successfully breaded pisscaso clown couple of years back, highest recorded was over 100 clown raised.

However I’ve faced a challenge of current Black Storm clown pair that I’ve had for over 1 year In a mix reef 4ft tank. They had spawn over 5 times now, first 2 batches were few but orangish, however their recent 3 attempts all laid white eggs as attached. Any advice why?

Here are some information of my tank: flow is moderate where they laid the eggs, tank parameters has been stable. Water temp at 26.5 degrees C.

Appreciate and thanks in advance of your comments.

Beautiful tank.
As for fertility, tank parameters, diet, stress, and the parents genes are the main determining factors.
Based on your pic I would say parameters are not an issue. That leaves the other 3. If you are feeding a varied healthy diet then we are down to stress and genes.
I see all peaceful fish in your pic. So im guessing one of the adults just isn't fertile. Also looks like a smaller number of eggs than I would expect.

Have the clutches been on a fairly consistent schedule? Could also be immature fish as well. If they aren't sticking to a schedule then may just need more time.

After months, unfortunately the eggs are still white… despite heavier target feed with frenzy nutritious feed.. anything else I can do? Typically such case is a male or female issue? Perhaps I should swap out one?

My pair is doing the same thing and have been laying consistent batches every day or two after hatch day a few are good but the rest are gone within a day as right when they are laid I can tell they are no good. Any update, she start laying good ones overtime?
