Clownfish question (first timer)

How fast do clownfish grow I just got my guy recently but he’s like an inch and a half I wanna add another one but anything smaller than my current guy is just too small also he’s just glass surfing which I feel like is normal as my betta did that for a decent amount of time (this tank use to be a freshwater tank)

I think you are fine to add a smaller one, thats recommended when trying to pair them! Im of the belief that clowns do better in pairs. Yours looks fine to me, they also are just weird fish

After a little bit over 24 hrs of owning a clown I can already tell they live up to their name

At 1-1/2” I would add 3/4” to ensure it’s a male.
Female always grows bigger and faster.

Clownfish grown pretty slow for me. I have my pair for 1 year and don’t see much difference
