Clownfish with Single White spot

Hi all,

The title says it. My clownfish has a weird growth looking thing on its face that has a white spot on it (it kinda looks like a pimple with a whitehead). I tried to get pics but neither fish, nor phone, nor water were cooperating (I just did a water change so everything is a little cloudy). You can’t tell from the pictures, but the only white spot is on his face (the rest is debris floating from the water change). I haven’t really dealt with fish disease before so I’m not sure what it could be. I know that clownfish can be susceptible to brooklynella but it doesn’t really look like the pictures I saw on here? He is the only fish in the tank. Any help welcome. Thanks!

Looks to be a small cyst evolved from slight injury. Can stem from cleaning rocks, squabbling with another clown or mechanical injury which got infected. Keep an eye on it and maintain Good water conditions. Should it increase in size or turn red, treat in separate tank using Seachem Neoplex along with air stone added to tank

Noticed a indent on its head, which could be hexamita, but I am not a doctor, so please look into it

It sounds like your clownfish might have a localized growth or infection. While Brooklynella is a concern, it doesn't seem to match the symptoms you’re describing. It could be a bacterial infection or something else. Keep an eye on it, monitor water quality, and if the growth changes or worsens, consider setting up a quarantine tank and using appropriate treatments. If it doesn't improve, consulting an expert or vet could help with a proper diagnosis.

This often is seen on tank raised specimens in addition to what looks like bruising for some reason.

Ooo based on what I’ve googled it does sound like it could be hexamita? He is a tank raised specimen, but I don’t see the bruising or indent you’re talking about. Would it be a bad idea to go ahead and treat for hexamita?
