So we have a 29gallon tank and added a new member. Another damsel. But our clown fish are not taking kindly to him. They are cornering him in one spot of the tank. Will they continue to be aggressive tward him or is that typical for clown fish. The 6 line wrass is fine edith the new addition. Just having trouble with the clown fish. The largest collection is also disturbing some corals and inverts. It won't let our feather duster come out or our suncoral. It is nipping and hitting them. Could someone id the clown fish for me? Are clownfish all aggressive loke this? New Damsel is pictured below

Damsel is pictured in diving helmet. I've tried to seperate the female clown for a day. Still aggressive, maybe even worse. And they have not been this aggressive to any additions before. I thought maybe the markings, the stripes, on the damsel are not helping?

In a 29 gallon, I'd say you have plenty of aggression potential with the fish you have selected.

Clowns being from the damsel family can be aggressive towards damsels.

The six line can be a holly terror as well when they mature.

Decisions need to be made on what you want to keep and what needs to be removed.

Arguably the biggest lie about fish temperament on websites is that Ocellaris variety clownfish are Peaceful. All clownfish are semi-aggressive/territorial to some degree once established. As mentioned Damsels don't get along and you have selected some fish with attitude there for your tank. Watch that 6 line like a hawk as they are known for being okay when younger and then turning into the spawn of satan once they mature.
