Ok so I rescued a pair of oc clowns from a nasty nasty tank that a guy started and never took care of so anyway I was hoping to get them to host to my frogspawn but no success any help would be great thanks guys

There's not really any way to force clowns to host in anything, especially something that doesn't host them in the wild. I have heard of people having clowns that hang out in frogspawn before, but this can be irritating to some corals, and at worst the clowns could damage the coral's tissue, with possible polyp death. My advice is don't try to force it, and if you want them to host get a natural host anemone for them.

I have my oc clown that hosted in a piece of frogspawn you gave me. Neither clown nor fs show signs of injury and even at night when the fs "goes to sleep" the clown keeps at it. I'd try cutting the target feeding back a little for a week or two and see what happens. It may have just been coincidence but the clown started testing it with its tail the same time I cut the feeding back. Couldn't hurt to try. Your clowns are massive too so they may be looking for something a lot larger to host to. May be time for a road trip and a large carpet or bubble tip to get that relationship in your reef.
