Clumping sand fish

Hey yall my sand is clumping and I mixed new and old filter media and my water just smells a little off . All parameters are in check I made my water with tap and added all the correct bottles like my first tank.

Does the of will the clumping sand have any probldm on the fish!???

Sand sifting inverts. Not sand sifting starfish though. Some hermits and snails first before fish, after the initial cycle it should be fine.

What is best CUC for tang and wrasse tank?

Honestly I don't keep Wrasse or Tangs. I would just start with some larger varieties of hermit crabs, add some Nassaurius snails.
